My girl

If you know Peyton, you know that she’s not so much of a girly girl.  She probably gets that from me (I was the same way and still kind of am).  And just like me, she was born smack dab in the middle of two brothers.  And sometimes in the midst of all the yelling, roaring and crazy testosterone behavior happening all around her, girly stuff gets pushed aside and forgotten about in an effort to join in all the boy madness.  Peyton has even been known to raid Tyson’s and Hudson’s closets for clothes so that she can be more like them.

But on Sundays, she likes to get all gussied up for church.  It’s fun to watch my precious little tomboy dress up in a frilly skirt and “put on” makeup.  She even asked me to “make her hair hot” (use the straight iron on her hair).  I know she’s doing these things because I do them and she’s watching me.  And that kinda melts my heart a little bit.  I absolutely love having a daughter.040
