January Days

I am still loving Instagram.  I’ve barely picked up my Nikon all month and instead have been just using my iphone.  It’s so easy and I’m finding that I take a lot more pictures this way.  So here is a conglomeration of somewhat random photos from my phone.

Although this has been somewhat of a mild winter so far (we haven’t even had one little snowfall), we have had a lot of chilly, dreary, rainy January days over the last few weeks, which is making the winter seem long and making me dream of an early Spring, green grass, and colorful flowers.

Of course, cold and rain means long days, stuck inside.  And all of you mothers of young children know this is not easy for anyone involved.

We try to make the best of it though.  We find ways to pass the time and hopefully to even make it enjoyable.

McDonald’s playground can be a mother’s lifesaver when it comes to surviving rainy days with energetic kids.

As well as playdoh and games…

And when the sun finally peeks up to show itself, it is a beautiful thing!

Everyone was anxious to get back outside, to run and to splash through the puddles left on the ground by the rain.

The tooth fairy visited again recently.  I love this boy’s toothless grin!  I remember the excitement of seeing these teeth break through when he was just a few months old.  Who knew it would be even more exciting to see them fall out. Wow, he’s growing up so fast!

Around here, the weekends mean extra time cuddling up with Daddy.

And lately, I cannot resist taking pictures of the sunrises.  They are hand painted across the skies by God so beautifully and so uniquely each morning.  Any neighbors that have seen me outside in my robe and slippers, holding my phone up in the air to snap a picture of the sky surely think I’m a nutcase!  Ha! Oh well.

Rise and shine and give God the glory, glory!

Hope you guys have a great day!
